Lightdox is a Swiss and French-based international sales and distribution agency representing powerful documentary storytelling. We are passionate about high-quality author-driven documentaries with a distinctive cinematic language and emotional impact.
We tend to each film and partner with an individual approach and support filmmakers every step of the way, through festival, theatrical and non-theatrical distribution, marketing and outreach campaigns.

Meet Our Team

Anna
After obtaining her Master’s degree in Media and Marketing Sciences from the University of Geneva, Anna worked for several years in the banking sector, mainly as a project leader. In 2013 she undertook a career shift willing to invest her skills and knowledge into documentary producing. She graduated successfully from Ecole Documentaire de Lussas in France and attended several European workshops for producers and filmmakers. Since 2015 documentary sales and distribution snapped her for the better and she now oversees all activities at Lightdox, with special care for Theatrical and Impact Distribution, as well as Acquisitions.

Raluca
In her work Raluca cooperates with partners in the French, German, Italian speaking territories and
the Benelux region. Raluca holds a PhD in Film studies from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and before joining Lightdox she split her time working for film festivals and as a researcher. While in the beginning she was drawn to fiction films, over the last decade documentary cinema has captured her attention. In 2022 this enthusiasm for non-fiction cinema prompted her move to film sales, where she could explore further her interest for creative, author-driven, documentaries. When she gets the chance Raluca likes to venture back into research.

Bojana
Bojana is responsible for all English speaking countries and domains worldwide. If the business takes you far north, her expertise expands as far as Scandinavia. Bojana holds an MA in Archaeology from University of Belgrade, Serbia, and her previous professional experience includes museum curatorship, field excavations and pottery conservation and restoration. Interpreting the human past has a lot to do with storytelling and Bojana was naturally driven to documentaries as another form of creative research. In 2016 passion for documentary cinema drove her to film sales. Being a part of Lightdox team, Bojana is highly dedicated to theatrical and educational distribution.

Aleksandra
Aleksandra is responsible for the Marketing, Communications, and promotional activities at Lightdox. She is the designated social media fairy and makes sure that everything is up-to-date, occasionally being the in-house designer.
Aleksandra holds a double degree in Journalism and Political Science from the American University in Bulgaria. Her interests in media, art, human rights, social and environmental issues all intersect with her love of documentaries.

Nevena
As part of Lightdox team, Nevena oversees distribution and sales in Central & Eastern Europe, Asia, LATAM and Africa. She embraced the challenge of mastering the most promising and excitingly evolving markets with worlds of creativity and innovativeness. She graduated Painting at the Academy of Arts Banjaluka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and holds a Master’s degree in Stage Design from Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno.
Nevena has been working in sales and distribution of documentary films since 2015, with a deep focus on VOD and festival distribution. In addition to that, she makes magic with a paintbrush.

Rohan
Rohan works with our titles to expand their distribution reach and impact potential, especially within the UK & Ireland. He studied film at post-graduate level at the University of St Andrews and has worked within the film industry for over a decade, as a film programmer, consultant and industry manager (Edinburgh International Film Festival, Cork International Film Festival, Docs Ireland, FIPADocs and Africa in Motion, among others). He also works as a development producer in Edinburgh for documentary and fiction film. The empathetic possibilities inherent within Documentary filmmaking have always fascinated Rohan and he is dedicated to the kind of cinema that makes you feel the strongest possible connection with other lives.
