MOTHERLAND nominated for Best European Documentary at European Film Awards 2023
We are thrilled to share this amazing news – MOTHERLAND by Hanna Badziaka and Alexander Mihalkovich is nominated for Best European Documentary at the 36th European Film Awards!
The nominations are based on the votes of 4,600 members of the European Film Academy who have been watching the films included in the annual Academy Selection. Voting is now open for Academy members. The winning film will be announced at the award ceremony on December 9, 2023 in Berlin.
The European Film Awards honour the greatest achievements in European cinema. It is an incredible privilege to be part of this year’s strong documentary selection of 5 films!
MOTHERLAND has been on an impressive festival run since receiving the CPH:DOX main award at its World Premiere in March. The following festival circuit tour now numbers more than 30 international film festivals and receiving recognition such as the FIPRESCI International Film Critic’s Award for Best Documentary at goEast Film Festival, the Audience Award at Krakow Film Festival, Main Award in International Documentary Section at the Festiwal Filmowy NNW in Gdynia and also being shortlisted for the prestigious IDA Documentary Awards 2023.
The ceremony of the European Film Awards – the most renowned and prestigious award for European film – is presented by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions.
