The 2017 Nobel Prize in Chemistry transforms Jacques Dubochet’s life. Passing from the shadows to the light, he is solicited from all sides.
What can he do with this voice, which is now being heard by everyone? How to define the struggles to be fought? How to become a “Citizen Nobel”, with the objective of assuming responsibility as a researcher and member of the human community?
A speech by Greta Thunberg turns everything upside down…

PRESS
Reviews: The Guardian (EN), Cineuropa (EN), RTS.ch (FR), Daily Movies (FR), Cinémathèque Suisse (FR)
Citizen Nobel is a touching and sincere “feel good movie” that shows the vulnerable side of success and the desperate quest for meaning of a man who has never stopped fighting.
Muriel Del Don, Cineuropa
an invigorating portrait of one of Europe’s most distinguished scientists, caught at the very point of morphing into a public intellectual and vehement campaigner … a thoroughly worthwhile documentary
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
